Enguerrand Le Niliot

MSc Engineering Student at Télécom Paris & Seoul National University | Applied Mathematics, Data & Computer Vision

Target: 6-month Master's Graduation Internship in East Asia (Starting Jan 2027)

I'm a final-year engineering student at Télécom Paris (Institut Polytechnique de Paris), majoring in Applied Mathematics (MACS) and Computer Vision (IMA). In September 2026, I'll join Seoul National University (SNU) for an academic exchange in AI and applied mathematics.

My work sits at the intersection of applied mathematics and computer vision, from stochastic modeling to deep learning and 3D vision. I'm looking for a six-month graduation internship in East Asia starting January 2027 to contribute this background to applied research and engineering work.

Academic & Research Projects

MedTech Image Classification Pipeline

Computer Vision Deep Learning PyTorch ConvNeXt

For this diagnostic imaging challenge, I had to classify 13 types of white blood cells from microscopy images, despite strong class imbalance and inconsistent staining across samples. I first tried a classical computer vision pipeline based on hand-engineered features, then moved to a deep learning approach built around a ConvNeXt model, which handled the variation and rare classes far better. The final model reached a macro F1-score of 0.7839, placing 5th out of 77 submissions.

Unsupervised Abstract Art Clustering Engine

Machine Learning CNN (VGG16) Math & Statistics

The goal was to sort a collection of abstract paintings into stylistic groups without any labeled data to guide us, a task made harder by the fact that abstract art relies on texture and color rather than the recognizable objects most computer vision models are built to detect. On this team project, I worked on the computer vision and clustering side: extracting style signatures with a CNN, fusing them with other feature spaces, and refining the resulting clusters with a custom filtering algorithm. The result was a full evaluation pipeline feeding into an interactive WebGL tool for exploring the paintings.

Personal Engineering & Game Dev Projects

Bubble Battle - Global Game Jam 2025

Godot Engine GDScript Global Game Jam 2D Physics

For the Global Game Jam 2025, my team and I built Bubble Battle, a local two-player fighting game in which each player controls a bubble bouncing around a closed arena, using momentum-based abilities to knock out the opponent within the jam's 48 hours. I built the player movement and physics on top of Godot's CharacterBody2D, designed the four playable arenas, and balanced the four abilities against each other, mainly by tuning their cooldowns. Collisions and the overall ability set were worked out together with the team, while the procedural shaders were handled by a teammate.
